BWT Alpine F1 Team successfully achieves FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation

BWT Alpine F1 Team is proud to announce it has successfully achieved the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation, part of the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme, for both its Enstone and its Viry Châtillon sites.

The team’s environmental performance was reviewedduring an official audit by the FIA last December on site in Enstone and remotelyfor ViryChâtillon, the French site being already certified ISO 14001,where it reviewed best management practices in areas such as energy use,biodiversity, and overall carbon emission.

The award of the FIA Three-Staraccreditation stamps the initiatives taken by BWT Alpine F1 Team as it madeprogress in areas including the set-up of an efficient environmental managementsystem alongside operational initiatives involving the team such as theimplementation of bottle free zones both trackside and at its Enstone factory, courtesyof the support of title partner BWT. It also highlights the sourcing ofrenewable energy for its Enstone factory’s day to day consumption [since2004]. In Viry Châtillon, certified ISO 14001 [since 2011],the work to reduce its environmental impact is continuous and includes actionssuch as the implementation of biowaste sorting, no more single use plastic cupsand a 95% reduction of use of solvents for cleaning parts. Moreover, theaccreditation reflects the close collaboration between both our sites: fromfeeding back about common experiences, sharing best practices, to common thinkingabout initiatives to implement across Viry and Enstone.
